As an amateur pastry chef, Larry would never have guessed that his passion for cakes and decorating would someday become a full-time career. When Maribelle Cakery came on the market in 2000, Larry jumped at the chance to own it. A life-long creative spirit, Larry saw the opportunity to use his creative skills to design beautiful wedding cakes and memorable receptions for brides in Cincinnati.

Larry takes great pride in meeting with brides personally at Maribelle, helping them to design cakes that show off the themes and colors of their reception. When brides work with Larry, they can be confident that they are working with an exclusive wedding cake design specialist, dedicated to the success of her event. Larry believes that the most important thing about cakes is how it contributes to the overall success of the wedding reception.

In addition to designing cakes that have wowed brides, reception hall managers, and other wedding vendors in Cincinnati, Larry demonstrates his artistic and engineering aptitude by administrating the business website.

When not researching the latest wedding cake designs, he enjoys playing Renaissance lute with his wife Tina, who plays wooden Renaissance-style flute and Baroque Guitar. Larry studied lute at the Royal College of Music in London and has experience building and designing renaissance-era instruments.
